Nighttime Spectacular
A painting that waits for the dark.
Nighttime Spectacular is a canvas in an organic, hand built frame. On the wall it is a quiet night scene. Walk up to it and the carnival starts. The sound of a fairground rises as you get close, the smell of popcorn drifts out of the frame, and on your phone fireworks burst out of the painting and over your head.
It is made for a home, a hotel lobby or a shop floor, anywhere people pass close enough to set it off. Each one is a one off, built and painted in the studio.
